Taarabala, Chandrabala and Gurubala Calculator
What it means
Taarabala: Taarabala refers to the strength or influence of a star (nakshatra) in relation to a person's natal Moon. It is one of the many factors used in the evaluation of astrological charts, particularly for determining the auspiciousness of starting new ventures, performing rituals, or other significant activities. Nakshatras falling under Sampat, Kshema, Sadhana, Mitra, and Parama Mitra are generally considered auspicious. Nakshatras under Vipat, Pratyak, and Naidhana are considered inauspicious.
Chandrabala: Chandrabala refers to the strength and favorable position of the Moon in a person's chart at a given time. It is considered an important factor in determining the auspiciousness of activities, especially those that are initiated or performed based on astrological timings (muhurta). Generally, the Moon is considered auspicious when it is in the 1st (Janma), 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th, and 11th houses from the natal Moon. The Moon is considered inauspicious when it is in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 12th houses from the natal Moon.
Gurubala: Gurubala refers to the strength and favorable position of Jupiter (Guru) in a person's chart at a given time. Jupiter is considered the most benefic planet in Vedic astrology, associated with wisdom, prosperity, spiritual growth, and overall well-being. The concept of Gurubala is used to determine the auspiciousness of times for initiating important activities, spiritual practices, and making significant decisions.
